We are Thorsten and Micha from Oberwesel – two true tower lords with a passion for extraordinary living, design, and hospitality.​

Our home is the historic Katzenturm, a medieval defensive tower from 1350, located directly on the city wall of Oberwesel in the picturesque Middle Rhine Valley. When we stumbled upon the for-sale ad in 2022 by chance, it was clear right away: This is our jackpot! With lots of heart and creativity, we transformed the tower across four floors and 47 m² into a unique tiny house – and were awarded the prestigious "House of the Year" prize for it.​

The Tower´s Story

Each floor of our tower tells its own story, blending historic charm with modern interior design. For us, the Katzenturm is more than a monument – it stands for the courage to try new things and the joy of living in the here and now. The "House of the Year" award from HGTV showed us that our concept inspires and delights people.​

Our Love for Hosting

But our hearts beat not just for the tower: We love being hosts! That's why we're thrilled to welcome you to our lovingly designed vacation apartments right near the Katzenturm. Here, you can experience Oberwesel's special atmosphere, discover the vineyards, and enjoy the Middle Rhine Valley – and perhaps feel a bit of the magic that brought us here.​
